Ahhhh I love fiber art forever. I’ve been jonesing to make a series of organic-shaped hooked rugs that could also be hung on your wall as art. Note to self, make this happen.

I was so happy last week when I received a surprise package in the mail containing three vintage macrame books from our sweet friends Aubrey and Chris! Instant Macrame is my favorite instructional book yet!

I’m really excited about German lighting designer Ingo Maurer, and his new work titled ‘Biotope.’ Created as a commission for a couple in his hometown of Munich, Biotope is 12 feet tall and created from farm-raised sea sponges that have been color dyed and sprayed. Filled with tiny led’s, and covered with hand-painted fauna, the sea-sponges also act as a sound-absorber. Read more about Biotope in the wonderful Fall Design issue of T Magazine.
